What we provide:
Living quarters and most meals, field trips, $4000.00 stipend, masters classes in traditional Church architecture.
What you’ll provide:
Strong hands and back, willingness to work hard and learn, a sleeping bag, desire to work in honor of St. Kateri and our Blessed Mother.
What you’ll learn: History of Catholicism in the southwest, how to build with adobe, how to install natural lime mortar and stucco, how to build dry sack retaining walls, how to build natural rubble foundation, how to build conventional concrete foundations.
The Ideal Candidate will: Be a male at least 18 years of age, be a practicing Catholic as defined by the church, commit to the full term June 1 through July 31, have personal health insurance or a financial plan for medical costs. Be willing and able to work 40 hours per week in a physically demanding job outdoors in variable weather conditions and be able to life at least 30 pounds.
