From the Rector/Catechesis, Twenty-Third Sunday in Ordinary Time,
Parish Family Catechesis
Next week we will resume our weekly family catechesis lessons. As we have done for the last two years, this will be taught to parents, godparents, and sponsors. This is to equip adults to teach their children, for parents are the first teachers. As such, parents, godparents, and sponsors are required to attend these lessons in-person if they are to have their children receive sacraments. (Classes will not be live-streamed.) Children may also attend. Classes will take place on Wednesdays at 6:30pm in the Cathedral. Please bring a copy of your children’s baptismal certificates to the first lesson. All other parishioners are invited to attend these lessons as well. This year we will first talk about the virtues in the first semester, and then about the sacraments in the second.
