The plans for the new location of Sacred Heart Cathedral School are progressing well!
There will be an open house event for parents of current students and parents who are interested in sending their children to the school next fall at the Cathedral Family Center on Tuesday, March 24 from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
A transition team has been put together to plan the move of the School to the Family Center for the 2020-2021 interim year while the new buildings are being constructed. Myself, the Superintendent of Diocesan schools, the School Principal, as well as employees of the Cathedral and 2 teachers from Sacred Heart Cathedral School are working together to plan out the allocation of the classrooms and office spaces, and coordinate the physical move of furnishings, equipment, supplies, and books.
We are finalizing our contracts with the Architect to complete the design drawings of floor plans and elevations for the new buildings as we move to complete the design drawings of floor plans and elevations for the new buildings as we move to complete the survey and the civil ordinance requirements.
We ask for prayers for the success of Sacred Heart Cathedral School as it moves into what will be its 3rd location in its long history here in the city of Gallup.
